Dr Rai completed his medical training at the University of Wales College of Medicine in 1997. He trained as a G.P. at the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital in London and qualified from there in 2000. He has undertaken additional training in Obstetrics/Gynaecology and Acupuncture. In 2005, Dr Rai achieved the Postgraduate Diploma in Cardiology, and is currently the Cardiology lead GP specialist in Hertsmere. He is also an appointed member of the BMI North London Hospital Medical Advisory Committee.

Dr Rai practices as a NHS & Private GP as well as being the Director of Clear Health Ltd. This position has allowed him to understand the frustrations that patients experience in the NHS and aims to deliver a private service that deals with these inadequacies.
