We see a variety of patients requiring a medical examination or medical certificate. Whether this is for immigration purposes or for occupations, fitness to participate or travel. We are recognised by the American Embassy as medical practitioners who can undertake such medicals. Please give us a call if you require a medical and we would be happy to talk you though it and advise you accordingly.
We have extended our opening hours during the weekdays and weekends, offering grater accessibility and ultimately saving you time and money.

Medical History
A thorough medical history is taken as 70 % of health related problems are diagnosed on direct questioning alone. There will be plenty of time to raise any concerns you may have about your health.
Medical Examination
We will perform a thorough medical examination, which will assess the following areas:
Heart
Lungs
Abdomen
Genitals
Ears
Nose
Throat
Nervous System
Skin
BMI (Body Mass Index)
A ratio of your height and weight is taken which gives us valuable information about your general fitness and health.
Urine Dip Stick
An assessment of your urine gives us valuable information about your body. It allows us to check for Diabetes, Kidney disease, Bladder disease, and Infection.
Blood Pressure
Your blood pressure is checked which will give us valuable information about the health of your heart. It is a fact that 50% of the patients with high blood pressure don’t know they have it. High blood pressure increases for risk for a heart attack and stroke.
Blood Tests
We do several blood tests looking at diabetes, cholesterol, kidney function, liver function and anaemia status. This is optional.
Calculation of Cardiac Risk
Using specialised risk tables and the results from your screen your overall 10-year cardiac risk is calculated. Depending on the results, the appropriate advice is given.
ECG (Electro Cardio Gram)
Gives vital information about the electrical activity of the heart. It also allows us to check for a number of different heart problems. All of our ECGs are assessed by Consultant Cardiologists.
Other Tests
Other tests (such as a chest X-Ray) are considered on an individual basis at extra cost.
HGV/Taxi Medicals
We undertake medical examinations for HGV, Taxi and Bus medicals.
