Sick Leave Surveillance.
We have worked with companies to implement a sick leave policy which allows the Human Resources Department to monitor sick leave in the work place. Using our assessment pathways we identify those frequently taking leave or those employee's who tend to take the odd days off. These employee's are either phoned by the company doctor or they are invited to meet the doctor to discuss their health. Our work has been found to be highly effective in reducing the number of days off work. We offer a general health screen to the employee's which is seen a health benefit with their job, and it creates an environment where staff feel that sick leave is being policed and are less likely to take time off. If people are taking time off work and the company doctor is aware of the circumstances then the appropriate support will be offered and we will work in partnership with the company to ensure the best outcome for the employee.
